Early Treatment

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic evaluation by the age of 7. Although treatment may not be necessary at this age, we can help identify what may be needed in the future and can anticipate when to begin to get the best results. A braces exam and treatment can:

Boost your child's self-confidence and self esteem
Catch problems early, often preventing the need for jaw surgery
Help your child bite and chew their food
Help your child speak clearly
Improve appearance with a beautiful smile
Make space for permanent teeth to prevent crowding
Reduce the need for treatment as an adult

First Visit

We look forward to meeting you at your initial consultation with our office. During this first visit, we will help you get familiar with our office and learn about your orthodontic treatment needs. Each patient's orthodontic needs are unique, and we promise to give you the personal attention you deserve at not only your first appointment, but every appointment.

Your initial consultation will include photos of your face and teeth, x-rays, a thorough examination of your bite, and a detailed discussion of potential orthodontic (braces) treatment options. During this visit, our orthodontist will discuss whether any braces treatment is needed, when treatment should begin, how long your treatment is expected to take, the total cost to you or your insurance, and the various payment options available. For those over 18 years old, please have your general dentist forward your most recent periodontal charting to our office.
